Love of Salmon – a Korean multi-media project to be staged in Belfast and Dublin

We have just heard about this Korean multi-media project, combining film, dance and drama which is going to be staged in Belfast and Dublin (and hopefully in Korea sometime in the future). Looks worth catching if you get the chance.

The production is an adaption of the famous Korean novel, Ka Si Go-Ki (The Stickleback) by Chang-In,Cho and it will be staged in the new MAC theatre (www.themaclive.com) in Belfast 7.30pm on June 22nd. Green Sky Performing Arts are the production company behind it.

The Seoul Gaels Need Your Help!

Image

The other day the Seoul Gaels chairman Phill O’Neil contacted the IAK asking for help to find suitable playing pitches for the upcoming season. So far, despite many efforts, the club have been denied at every turn and are struggling to find a place to use regularly for both training and matches at the weekend.

The IAK are giving a shout out on their behalf to ask if you know of any suitable spaces in the vicinity of Seoul?

The club have informed me that they are willing to try anything, so if you think you can help (perhaps your school or university has suitable facilities which are regular rented out), or if you know someone who may be able to make a difference, please email me, Conor at chair.iak@gmail.com and I will put you directly in touch with Phill and the rest of the team.

For more info on the Seoul Gaels please visit seoulgaels.com

While I’m on this point, never let it be said the Irish Association of Korea is not there to help you! If you have a club or organisation and you need help promoting or sourcing help, please contact us directly we’ll see what we can do. The Irish Association of Korea is very keen to continue to promote positive relationships with other non-profit organisations and clubs. Email chair.iak@gmail.com to discuss how we can work together!
