Get your dancing shoes warmed up as you are being served with advanced notice, the Irish Association of Korea’s 2013 Seoul Céilí: Irish Music and Dance Festival has been scheduled for September 8. 
Once again, we have the very generous support of Daesung to thank for the use of their excellent facilities at the D-Cube Center in Sindorim Seoul.

It’s less than 5 days to the annual St Patrick’s Day Festival on Saturday March 16th, which will take place at the D-Cube plaza in Sindorim. 
Don’t forget there’s a fancy dress competition with cash prizes. We’ve got a great raffle courtesy of our sponsors Etihad and Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel (more info about this later today). Can you play music? Then bring your instrument along and join in the music session in the Irish Village. You can even learn some simple Irish dances. If you’re the sporting type then you need to meet the Seoul Gaels who’ll be doing some skills demonstrations. It promises to be a great day with music, dancing, food, activities for kids and much better weather than in Ireland!
And it’s not over at 5pm. We’re having a hooley in The Bull & Barrel in Itaewon with 4 bands downstairs and possibly the biggest Irish traditional music session ever in Korea upstairs. Read about what we have planned here (or over here on Facebook).

Well thanks to those of you that did vote, because D-Cube City has won the People’s Choice Award. Congratulations to Daesung and everyone at D-Cube!

Join us this Saturday, March 10th, for the last ceili dancing before St. Patrick’s Day. Whether you’re polish off your dancing skills or just beginning, come along, have some fun and meet new people.

D-Cube City Plaza is where the IAK held its Irish Dance and Music festival in September 2011…and it’s also where we will hold the 2012 St Patrick’s Festival on Sat March 17th from 12:30 to 18:00 (more news about that tomorrow)!
We like the space there a lot, so if you’ve enjoyed the festival there last September or are planning to come to our St Patrick’s festival, or if you just like the design out at D-Cube (maybe you are a Pororo fan and have been to the theme park out there) why not go and vote for D-Cube City in the MIPIN Awards 2012?

IAK continues its series of monthly Irish céili nights with an evening of dancing next Sat Feb 25th in Dongdaemun-gu. Different location, same welcoming atmosphere.

Longstanding IAK member Sean Conneely is running a night of céilé and set dancing on Sat Jan 28th in the Columban centre in Seongbuk-gu. The atmosphere is welcoming, you don’t need to know anything about Irish dancing (or even about dancing fullstop), just bring a bit of enthusiasm.
